Harlow 2nd XV 19 Westclifff 2nd XV 12 Pre-Season Friendly Harlow seconds facing their opposite numbers from newly promoted Westcliff were as convincing as the firsts running in three good tries and slotting two conversions with Barney Goodey top scorer. The final try by Russ James was an excellent break and a 40 yard run up the wing to slip three defenders before cutting in to touch down near the posts. Martin Mallia at hooker had a massive work rate and made some good solo breaks. Credit also goes to Danny Fitzgerald who moved up from the fourths to cover a vacancy at prop and showed that he is more than capable of performing at this level.
