Lots have people have been asking what we are doing to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Below we have put together our rough guide to the things we have in the pipeline but, as ever, these things will require help from other members and at present are still "Work in Progress"

Publications

The Publications Committee will be looking at common branding for everything we publish during this period. Fixtures, Programmes etc. They will also take on the design for a 50th Year logo and the text well will have around it.

We have had a DVD put together with a Commemorative 50th year Handbook which will be sold for just £5.00. It will go on -sale as from this Saturday 3rd September. Sales will be handled as follows:

Merchandising

The Merchandising Committee will be looking at the viable options for things like: playing shirts, ties, blazers, badges, polo shirts etc. For more info on potential shirt designs click here To see the garments available from our club shop click here

The Publicity Committee will be working on launching our club to the world in two ways. Low key launch at the beginning of September 2005, Major public launch for the 8th December 2005, and then the commemorative games in January 2005.

The Events Committee will be working on: Former & Ex Player Dinner in Early December 2005, Formal Dinner in January 2006, Memorial Game January 2006, Potential special  end of season tour, End of Season Ball to close our celebrations in Summer 2006.

Club Archivist

We have appointed John Lewis to act as our Club Archivist so he can collate as much information as possible. We have already started to put together a Picture Archive (to view  click here) John is interested in collecting material in addition to that which we already have and to that end providing a link into the system especially for those who have stuff in hard copy and no other way of getting it to us. He expects to receive, digitise, pass on to your operation and then return the hard copy to the donor where requested to do so. 

We'd like to invite you to add contributions to this important archive of our History. We promise to take good care of your information as of course return it to you after we have finished with it.  To send us your contributions please Email them please send them into archives@harlow-rugby.co.uk or alternatively post them to the Address on the right.
