During the first 20 mins the sides were quite well matched and it looked as if Harlow had a hard game on their hands, New Ash Green winger made a break and was sprinting towards the try line being chased by Harlow’s Number 10 Lucy Gibson, literally 5 meters from the line she made a try saving tap tackle preventing New Ash Green from taking the lead. Although from the start the Harlow pack were overpowering New Ash Green's scrums and had to be warned several times about only pushing the regulatory 1.5mtrs, but after Harlow settled down it became apparent that the Harlow forwards were stronger and the backs were faster. Ultimately they took control in the scrums, lineouts and also used several successful rolling mauls to gain a lot of ground, enabling the backs to use their renowned pace and prowess.
Carla Marshall scored first, having come on as a sub. The move came from a strong scrum, ball went out to Becky Conway at centre who drew her opposite number, offloaded to Carla outside her who ran in and scored - first try for Carla ever! The Conversion missed making the half-time score 5-0 to Harlow
In the second half an attacking kick from Conway took her chasing down into New Ash Green's 22, the opposition's ball catcher unfortunately went over on her ankle, leaving Conway to steal the ball and run in the try; the conversion missed. After defending a while in their 22, Harlow gave away a penalty from which New Ash Green's Full-Back flew over the line to score their only try.
The remaining two tries came from thee new Harlow Fly-Half Lucie Gibson who ran in both tries from halfway: Nikky Millman converted the last try
