A notice from Rugby Round Up
Hi Everyone,
As I promised I have attached an update bulletin on the current
position of Rugby Round-Up - Where we are now and where we are
going.
This email has gone out to over 3000 persons who regularly receive
from us, but as there are over 1 Million viewers to the website we
are not currently reaching them by this medium - Could you therefore
please pin the attached RRU Update onto your clubs noticeboard for
all to see and understand the current position

Hi Guys,
Just to update you on the progress of reinstating the Rugby Round-Up website and stats etc
We have now analysed what data we have left to rebuild RRU and find that we do have all the player stats in raw data form (which is good news) We have now received all the September 06 designs for the website from our guy currently in Australia (also very good)
Having examined the full position and the high cost of the work required to get back to normal, I have given the go ahead to start the rebuild. This will mean that we should be up and running again by beginning of January, although the website should be online earlier, but without the stats displaying. So, please keep on sending in those match sheets during December
All this will come at a cost, as we do not make any serious profit – yet, nor does anyone here earn a salary, so can we enlist your help??
It has been muted that we should be charging a subscription for our services, but this goes against my own determination to make the service FREE to all clubs who become a part of the ROUND-UP – That principal will continue!
We need your help to rebuild Round-Up!Many Clubs have asked how they can help at this difficult time, and there is a way to suit us both.
If clubs really want to help and see us back up and running without debt dragging both ours/clubs future development of this service down, then how about purchasing some of our own brand RAPTOR balls. This ball is sourced by us, designed by us, and only sold by us – It’s the Round-Up special clubs ball! We have developed it into a very serious competitor in the market, but at a cost that clubs can really afford
Since last years Award Dinner we have now taken delivery of the New Raptor “EVOLUTION” ball. This ball is so good that it is placed inline with other balls in the market place costing £65 – But only costs Round-Up clubs £29.95
As a special “one off to help rebuild Round-Up” we are offering this ball for orders of 10 or more at £26 including vat & delivery – see details for ordering on the other attachment with this email
By purchasing just a few balls (even only 5) your club will be helping to fund the high rebuilding cost and keeping the Round-Up Free whilst getting in return a stock of quality match balls at an excellent price! So, please let me have your orders quickly Chaps! We need your clubs contribution!
Finally, can I thank something like 400 clubs who have either emailed/written or phoned me with their encouragement during the past 10 days. Naturally this has been a very moving vote of confidence in the service we have ran over the past 7 years, and has been the main source of my intention to continue in spite of all that has transpired. It has also made me realise exactly what a community the ROUND-UP has become, and is an example to us all of what real Community Rugby is really all about – The game, the supporters, and the players, many of whom give of their time and efforts for little or no reward but for the love of this great old game
My best wishes to you all
Mike Kind Rugby Round-Up
