Dream Team The Competition Following on from the interest on the feedback pages around dream 1st XV's we thought we could run a competition where everyone could enter a dream team
The winner judged by the reviewing panel below, who would compile there own dream team and the closest person with that team would win a cash prize. (or in the case of a draw split between winners) The decision of the reviewing panel would be final.
How much is it to enter & what can I win? £5 per team they enter, you can enter as many times as you wish. Winner takes a cash prize. The more people that enter the bigger the prize will be.
What happens to the rest of pot? We are planning to split the pot equally between the club and the men's senior our tour fund for our trip to Barcelona - More tour info.
What are the rules? 1 - You need to have two props 2 - You need a hooker 3 - You need two second rows 4 - You need three back row 5 - You need a scrum half 6 - You need a fly half 7 - You need two centres 8 - You need two wingers 9 - You need a full back 10 - Players have to have played for the 1st XV otherwise they can't be in the dream 1st XV squad 11 - You can't pick the same player in more than one position 11 - Decision of the judging panel is final NB - we have put together a list of potential candidates, we are bound to have missed someone you think should be in the team therefore please use the space at the bottom of the form to include their names and why they should be included.
Who's on the judging panel? This will be made up of representatives past and present to represent the different era's of the club. The people attending the longest selection meeting ever will be: David Minchin: Playing Era late 1950's early 1960's Colin Jenkins: Not sure on his playing and coaching era but he sure has watched a lot, over the years. When do I need to have entered by & when will the result be known? We want all entries to be received by Sunday 18th March, (the day after the next ex-players lunch/day) the judging panel will then discuss and select a winner. The winner will be announced at lunch on our last home league game of the season against Bury St. Edmunds on Saturday 14th April
