John-Henry Memorial Fund Fund Update
From:
John Henry Memorial Fund [mailto:trustees@johnhenrymf.org]
Dear All,
Hope you are all well and enjoying the (mostly) sunny weather. We thought we’d send a quick little update about the fund and highlight some of the latest news and events that have been happening.
Firstly, congratulations to all the walkers, runners, cyclists, beer drinkers etc who have been very active over the past few months. We now have a load of updates that are on the website which have full explanations for some of the silly events that have been taking place: www.johnhenrymf.org. As of today, the fund has raised over £20,000 so well done to everyone who has been so generous. The ‘About’ page on the website explains exactly where this money has gone or will be going; we will keep you updated on all future developments.
As for upcoming events, Rob is still recruiting for the Man versus Horse Marathon next weekend – it’s certainly not too late to get into training and join the team which includes brother PK and a rather extended back-up brigade…If you’d like to sponsor him, he has set up his own donation page: https://www.smartgive.com/showpublicevent.php?url=manvhorse&ms_id
Meanwhile, Thomas is currently in the Alps and cycling 800km up and down the wee little mountains. He intends to be back in a week! He also has his own page at: https://www.smartgive.com/showpublicevent.php?url=jhmf&ms_id if you think this is a suitable challenge and want to will him on his way!
We would also like to make you aware that the Credland’s are having a big party at Boulsdon Lea on Saturday 14th July to celebrate all the fundraising efforts so and as a good time to catch up with you all. . Absolutely everyone is welcome! It also happens to be Thomas’s 30th and Nell’s 60th, so plenty of reasons to have a good party. If you think you can make it, do send a quick email so we can gauge the numbers a little, but otherwise it really is open to all and if you don’t get round to emailing just turn up and join in!
Think that’s just about it. We will have more updates in the next couple of weeks.
Until then, best regards,
Thomas, Joe, Rachel, Ed and Rob.
