The season is drawing to a close, watch rugby while you can, its a long
wait till September. This weekend the 1st XV
are away to Woodford in their last league game of the season. Some support would be nice as the squad try to finish the season with some pride and confidence of a brighter future. The 2nd XV are at home to Campion II in their last game in the Essex Merit Table Div I. They are in top slot at the moment and although 2nd placed Thurrock have games in hand we still have a chance of the title IF WE WIN THIS ONE. The 2nd's have done a great job after only winning two games last year and everyone involved in the team deserves your support, especially Kerry Palmer the skipper who stayed with it through several years of defeats to eventually turn things around & make them one of the best second teams in Essex. If you are not at Woodford them be at Ram Gorse to cheer them on. |

| 15 April | Move News | The decision on our ground is down to Harlow councillors who don't come up for election till next year. There are however County Council & Parliamentary Elections and the candidates are all part of the same political party machines. Some are even the same people. For the next couple of weeks they will be out every day knocking on doors asking for your vote. When they do call on you ask them what their views are on the rugby club move. If they say it is not an issue in this election don't take no for an answer. Tell them they are part of the same political set up and insist on a response. By pressuring them when they call we can make them realise that there is support. |

There will be a meeting of Harlow Council
Tonight at 8pm in the Council Chamber at the Civic Centre. They will be considering the recommendation from the recent Environment and Community Committee meeting to reject the planning inspectors report which recommended that we be allowed to develop our ground for housing to fund a move to a new site. It would help to emphasise our strength of feeling if a significant number of members could attend the meeting. We had a very good turnout for the committee meeting and we hope that members will once again turn out in numbers. KEEP UP THE PRESSURE. See you there!! |
