Now Christmas celebrations are history it is time to get back to our main interest in life - Rugby. On Saturday we have a full fixture list so will all players please make every effort to be available and also contact their team captains NOW so we can organise the squads for all the scheduled games. The 1st XV are away to league leaders Hertford, it will be a tough one but it is only a short trip so some Support Would Be Welcome. The 2nd XV are away to Thurrock in the Essex Cup. A full turnout and some support would also be welcome. |

| 26 December | This years Boxing Day Game was won by the Colts 15-0 against The Chairman's select XV. Unfortunately Aaron Durack broke his leg in the game. We all hope he gets well soon. |

| 22 December | 1st XV lose to Havant. They were very strong in defence and on this showing and with a game in hand could be challenging for the top of the table. We produced two good tries, on a good link up on the blind side from a close range scrum with Rudi Esterhuyse setting it up for Neil McMullen who hung on to a difficult pass to score in the corner. The other was a great dummy from Ben Jarvis to split the defence wide open. Other league results. Have a look at the BBC guide to rugby more info and then contact our team captains to say you want to play or just turn up to a training night. (mail captains) Monday's, Tuesday's and Thursday's for senior players or Wednesday nights for Junior players. (7pm onwards) For Kids under 12 we play mini rugby on Sunday mornings.(9am onwards) |

First team lose away to Sutton and Epsom 30-27. Kris Laskowski scores on his first team debut in a game where the players showed they are capable of playing a more expansive game. Tries also scored by Ben Jarvis, Wayne Morgan, Rudi Esterhuyse and Fernando Lauria. Second team get their first win of the season beating Ipswich Magpies 67-5.
