29 July	On Saturday 7th August there will be A Day of Pub Golf. We’ll be meeting in The White Lion in Sawbo at 12pm when rules, the full 18 hole course and score cards will be explained and given out. Golfing clothes must be worn at all times including a golfing glove on you left hand. Please don’t bring clubs! For more information please contact Kerry Palmer or James Grover.

29 July	The 100 Club as donated £2000 towards the current remedial works for improving playing surfaces at the club.

All reports for inclusion should be sent / handed to me Chris McFerran no later than 7 days prior, points for discussion clearly highlighted. 21 July	Pitch Repairs Please be aware of the work in progress to repair and improve the quality of the pitches and the grounds in general. Although it is essential to use the ground for training and coaching purposes it is not necessary always to use the main playing areas. The in-goal and dead-ball areas are in better condition than midfield areas and can sustain activity without serious damage or degradation. Whenever possible please choose these areas for fitness training etc and give the pitches a chance of recovery before the season starts. We are spending several thousands of pounds on the work, money which is hard to earn so lets help it along when we can. Improvements are not likely to be obvious in the short term but with effort and funding I'm sure we can eventually achieve the lush turf that you would all like to play on. We to thank Mick Carlin and the members of the 100 club for raising the funds which will give us much better pitches for the coming season.

20 July	The Coaching Session at the club this evening will be taken by Alan Yates. He has played at Sale, Quinns, Cardiff and Fylde. We need a big turn out to make sure the session is worth while. We hope all senior players and colts with ambitions to play senior rugby will come along to make it a great work out.

7 July	Pre Season Summer Training started in earnest last night with a good turn out of 29 people. This Thursday we have a potential new player coach coming to take a session so please turn up and make this worthwhile.
