31 March - Rugby News - Harlow Council Meeting
Finally the Council has accepted that Ram Gorse can be sold for housing & that Latton Farm shall be allocated as Recreational Land. This will enable us in conjunction with Kier to put in planning applications for both sites & by working with the Planning Officers to ensure that we have designs that meet the needs of both sites whilst providing us with the facilities that we need & want. Important to remember the new facility will be build & ready for us to play on before we leave Ram Gorse. This will all take time but it's really good news.
30 March - Rugby News - 2006/07 League & Cup Fixtures
The RFU have released the schedule for next season which includes League & Cup games. Get these in the diaries, tell the Mrs not to plan anything on these dates!! to read more -

30 March - Rugby News - Harlow Council Meeting
Today (Thursday) Harlow Council will be meeting to discuss the Planning Inspector's report on building at Ram Gorse and the future of Latton Farm for sports development. The recent Community and Environment Committee declined to make any comment and passed the report to the full council for consideration. Although we do not have any speaking rights at the meeting a good turnout in the public gallery would be welcome to show that we feel strongly about this. The meeting is in the Civic Centre at 7.30pm. If you can come along, preferably wearing a club tie or club top. When we know the outcome we will advise you on suggested further action.

As part of our Community Partnership with Saracens RFC, we are taking ticket bookings for Sarries next home game v. Leicester on Easter Sunday, 16 April 2006 (Kick-off 3pm). 27 March - Bad News - Wendy Younger

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wendy Younger who died last Tuesday night. Wendy lost her battle with MS. Wendy has been in the past very active in the Ladies Committee. A committee that in the past raised considerable sums for the Club & organised social events. The funeral will be on Friday 12.45 at St Mary the Virgin, Little Hallingbury, after a private cremation.

Arrangements for the 2006 Spooner Six-a-Side Tournament are currently in hand and the Club is eagerly anticipating another month of great rugby, fun and beer! Last year we were oversubscribed with entries and for this year's event we want to ensure that Club-based teams get the first option to participate. 22 March - Rugby News - Harlow Ladies playing for Essex

Two Harlow Ladies players Frankie Barnes & Becky Hodges have been selected to represent Essex under 19’s this weekend. They play on Saturday at Colchester kick off 1:30pm.

22 March - Rugby News - Ladies Win League

Our Ladies have won the Eastern 3 League due to Southwold not being able to field a team. The Ladies will play Millwall on Sunday kick off at 2:30pm this will be followed by a Celebration Curry at their sponsors Essence of India approx 6-6:30pm. All Welcome. 20 March - Club News - Fantasy 6 Nations

Well that's it for this year! Strong weeks from Tracey Lee (46 points), Kerry Palmer (44 Points) and Mark Guthrie & Mark Wedd (43 points) couldn't catch our now crowned champion Paul Eynon, who overall finished on 237 points closely followed by last year's winner but this years runner up Graham Skinner (235 points). It went right to the wire. Paul Eynon now wins the prize of a weeks break in Centre Parcs. While everyone else thought they were playing just for fun the relieved tournament organised said "I'm not sure anyone else would have liked the go to Centre Parcs with the the family anyway". The 3rd XV I have cancelled the Harpenden game away on the 1st April as they will now in the plate competition and will play Datchworth 2nds away. Good luck to the lads.

15 March - Move News - Move Update - Council Meeting

The Environment & Community Committee voted last night to pass the report prepared for them  on the Replacement Harlow  Local Plan by the Council Officers directly to the full Council without discussion or recommendations for a full Committee decision, as to the Council's response to the Inspector's report & the recommendations of its Officers. This meeting takes place at the Civic Centre on the 30th at 7.30 pm . We need as many Club members as possible to attend. To read our full update - Click here

13 March - Club News - Fantasy 6 Nations

With one round to go of the 6 nations we can see Paul Eynon's lead at the top is reduced to just a point over last years winner Graham Skinner still in 2nd place with 201 points. Meanwhile the table is still propped up by Frankie Barnes her team "Not a clue" with just 91. Strong weeks this week from Graham Skinner scoring 36 and Paul Prindiville scoring 35. 13 March - Club News - Mini's "Come & Try"

This Sunday (19th March) the mini section are holding a “come and try it day” at the club ground at Ram Gorse from 10.30 to 12.00. Club coaches and managers, assisted by players from Harlow first team will be on hand to tell youngsters and their parents about the game and to provide information about what the club has to offer. 13 March - Fun News - James Grover

If you've seen James Grover in the last few days you may wonder what prompted him to shave off all his hair and display his true baldness. The word is, he went to the barbers, they messed it up and corrective action was needed by Paul Scott's clippers. We have managed to obtain a copy of the original hair cut which we felt the need to share. Take a look Click here

7 March - Rugby News - Get in touch

A number of players have not replied to phone messages & texts sent to them. Will all senior men players contact their usual team captains BEFORE training this evening to say if they are available for selection. We will confirm fixtures tonight only on the basis of players known to be available.

7 March - Rugby News - Harlow Boys playing for Essex

Four Harlow players represented the County’s under 20’s at the weekend playing against Eastern Counties at Southend. They were Ross Delgreco (prop), James McFerran (Centre), Robert Cochrane (Second row) and making his debut for his County 18 year old Kane Claridge at number 8. The match finished Essex Under 20’s  24  Eastern Counties Under 20’s  45.
