31 October - Club News - Saracens Visit

Jamie Pope has been selected for the England Partially Hearing Squad and plays his first game for them next weekend at St.Ives in Cornwall. The match is a final trials game against Cornwall.

28 October - Club News - Family Halloween Party

TONIGHT there is a Family Halloween Party If anybody is interested in giving Kerry a hand could you please email him on kerrypalmer@gmail.com on call 07973 159795 failing all that you could just talk to him or Diane Durack at the club.

Unfortunately, despite extending the deadline twice, a number of members have still failed to pay their Membership Fee for the current season. As a result, the Club has confirmed that anyone who has not paid their Fee by 1st November will not be able to play for the Club or use its' facilities from that date. The Club regrets having to take this course of action but is faced with no alternative so as to protect the interests of those that have paid. Please make urgent arrangements to pay by contacting Ken Potter on 07764 182946.

The Junior Section still urgently needs referees to take charge of their games (mainly the younger teams) on Sunday mornings. We have had a couple of volunteers, to whom we are very grateful, but we desperately need more. If sufficient referees come forward, the actual commitment would probably be about one Sunday per month. If you can help, please contact Kevin Ellis on 07870 621277.

The Club is still desperately trying to put out an Under-15 team this season and last night, despite the weather and football on the the telly, we had 11 players out training hard and enjoying a great session. Thanks to Lee Smith and a number of the Colts players for their support. We need to push on from here and get a few more boys involved in order to make up a team and get regular fixtures. If you know of anyone aged under 15 on 01.09.05 who would be interested in joining us, please get in touch with Ken Potter (Manager) on 07764 182946.

Five U14s attended the first round of the Essex trials on Monday night; Luke Hammond, Jordan Cable, Sam Gregory, Connor Sampson and Alfie Elston. All the boys put 100% effort and determination into the trials. They were a huge credit to our club. Connor Sampson has successfully made it through to the next selection round.

This Sunday the mini section of our club is hosting a mini's festival starting at 10:30am. We have recently put many club members through the necessary qualifications and supported them financially so they can achieve a degree of refereeing ability.
