Harlow Rugby Club Players Core Values Mutual Support, Respect, Personal Responsibility
At the players meeting on Thursday 30th June the players finalised and agreed the following to help prepared mentally and physically for the coming season:
Mutual Support
Training
·
Make every effort to get
to every session;
·
Advise the coaches &
captain at the earliest opportunity of your availability to
train/play;
·
Turning up for sessions
on time, 7:30pm out on the pitch;
·
The right attitude to
train & develop as a team;
·
Wanting to learn &
develop (New Strategy, Skills, Techniques); and
·
Train at least
once a week, £5 match fee if you can’t train once but play for the first XV on a Saturday.
RESPECT
·
Our Coaches, whoever is
taking the training session (Fitness, Skills, Forwards, Backs);
·
Our Management;
·
The linesmen;
·
The ball boys;
·
The referee;
·
Our supporters; and
·
Your fellow players. The majority of these are volunteers, just like you. PERSONAL
RESPONSIBILITY:
·
Put in your own work
away from the Club;
·
Ask for
advice/development points & targets;
·
Take advice
in relation to Health, Fitness, Nutrition and Physio;
·
If you consume alcohol
48hrs before a game, ensure you exercise it out of your system;
·
Take on fluids to
rehydrate after training;
·
24hrs before a game, be
sensible about Alcohol and Food intake; and
·
Eat sensibly.
Match Days
·
Turn up on time with the
intention of winning;
·
In the right frame of
mind with the right attitude;
·
It’s Match Day; and
·
It’s Rugby Day.
Post Match
·
Warm / Cool Down/Ice
baths;
·
Rehydrate BEFORE
alcohol;
·
Seek physiotherapy at
soonest available opportunity;.
Sub note: Senior men's Training is held at Harlow Rugby Club ready to go from 7:30pm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. New players always welcome. To find out more just turn up or click here
