I currently coach the Harlow Ladies team and have I had any thank yous? Just one?! Bah! Mark is one of the most talented and modest three-quarters to ever pull on a Harlow shirt. He first played for the 1st team in 1988 as a 17 year old and has represented the top level at the club at least once in every season since. Often peaking in fitness between seasons, Mark has very deceptive pace (he’s actually slower than he looks) and a devastating side step when it’s his round at the bar. Often misunderstood by the rugby traditionalist, Mark brings a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘total rugby’. When Mark was younger, fitter and had hair he played representative rugby for Essex and Eastern Counties and arguably should have been capped for England but Carling just got the nod ahead of him.
