Club Web Site tops 100,000 visits

Today the Harlow Rugby Club web site has reached 100,000 visits since we started recording visits in August 2003. The graph below shows our hits and pages viewed and how the weekly traffic to our site has grown over the last three years.

Having been one of the first clubs to have a web site nearly 11 years ago when Dave Sharp started experimenting on the University of Westminster's servers the number of visitors we now have is show's that we have come such a long way.

Out of season this year we have seen hits in excess of 700 a week which, in season has peaked above 1000 a week. 

We can see that much of our traffic is generated by our repeat visits to check on updates to Breaking News, Player Profile Pages and of course our online chat room/feedback pages.

Alongside the web site we have a Club Mailing List which reaches around 300 members and supporters. We also have a large number of members who have email addresses but have not registered. This applies to all section of the club but particularly to the juniors and their parents. We would like to get the list up to its full potential which we believe to be around 450 subscribers. The potential for marketing club activities and hence raising money would then be very large. If you'd like to register click here
