Harlow Rugby Club Youth Round Up.         25th January 2004.

Harlow Under 17’s  5   Upminster Under 17’s  17.

The Young Rams were in control for most of the first half in this close fought game at Ram Gorse but were unable to turn their possession into points. They defended well whenever the visitors threatened and fly half Martin O’Dell was at the hub of every attack. The score however was 0-0 at the interval and Upminster began to win more ball and attack down the wings. They went ahead with a penalty but then Harlow finally put centre Jamie Fricker away into space and he broke two tackles to score.

Harlow created further chances but Upminster were not to be denied and came back to score a try which was converted.

As the game wore on the Harlow boys took risks in attack and eventually were caught in their own twenty two and conceded a penalty from which the visitors scored.
