Harlow Rugby Club Youth Round Up. 22nd February 2004.
Hemel Hempstead Colts 7 Harlow Colts 7. Having beaten Hemel earlier in the season , when at full strength, the Young Rams knew they would have a battle on their hands with seven under seventeen's in their side away at Hemel Hempstead. Harlow were pleased to see both winger Jason Murray and Dominic O’Dell back playing after long absences through illness and injury. It was Harlow who made the running in the first half and from a line out on Hemel’s twenty two, scrum half Jake Kent-Pope’s pass found Alasdair Phillips coming into the line at speed. The full back was unstoppable and scored a try which Martin O’Dell converted. Harlow continued to dominate on an uneven pitch but were unable to add to the score. In the second half it was Hemel who took advantage of the awful conditions to mount a series of attacks. The Harlow defence was excellent, several of the younger players acquitting themselves admirably. With only minutes to go Hemel formed a ruck on the Harlow goal line and eventually crossed the line, the conversion equalling the scores. Harlow Colts. McFerran, O’Dell. D, Laskowski.
