Thurrock Under 16’s 29  Harlow Under 16’s  5.

The Young Rams battled hard against a strong, well drilled Thurrock side but their only reward was a try from flanker Adam Smith.

They were 19-0 down at half time being outrucked by the Thurrock pack and having to defend for long periods.

In the second half they went behind by another five points  but never stopped trying and Smith’s try gave them a lift. Indeed they managed to mount an attacking spell on the home side’s goal line but it was Thurrock who had the last word with another well-worked try.

Harlow Under 16’s. Guernico, Clinton, Yates, Baxter, Camp, Barr, Smith, Jessey, Fitzpatrick, Kavanagh (Capt), Banks, Rundle, Chapman, Barrs, Treamer, Hearne, Griffin, Lane.

Cheshunt Under 15’s  10  Harlow Under 15’s  20.

In recording their third win in as many weeks the Young Rams were clearly in control at Cheshunt. They led  by 20-0 ten minutes into the second half but allowed the home side to pull back two tries in the final quarter.

The first Harlow try came when they moved the ball out wide and outside centre Joe Hynes crossed the line.

Another flowing threequarters move saw full back Ricky Ford come into the line at speed to score Harlow’s second try. It was number 8 Lee Mulvey who crashed over from the back of a five metre scrum to score the third try and give the Young Rams an interval lead of 15-0.

In the second half Harlow continued to move the ball wide and winger Daniel Jones scored before Cheshunt mounted their counter offensive and scored twice.
