Harlow U17 37 Diss U17 15 Harlow under 17s were slow to get started in their encounter with Diss; allowing the visitors a try and a penalty which kept them in front for most of the first half. In the final fifteen minutes the Rams started to move the ball wide and tries came for both from Kent-Pope and Claridge to make it all square at half time.
In the second half Harlow showed much more commitment and good handling produced four more tries before Diss found a gap for their final score. The final score came from a try by Odell on second phase ball after a good run from mcCalrnon on the wing had taken play deep into the Diss half.

Cheshunt U16 0 Harlow U16 44 Winger David Hearn ran in a hat trick of tries in the Harlow rout of Cheshunt. Good handling in the first half saw a try for the other winger Chapman and the the first of Hearn’s three for a 10 – 0 lead at half time.
In the second half, Hearn opened the scoring followed by a good pick up and drive over by Luke Kane the No. 8. The next try came from fullback Griffin coming into the line to take the inside pass from the winger; Fitzpatrick slotting the conversion. Another forwards power try came from flanker Jessey followed by Hearn’s third, coming in from the wing in a set penalty move. O’Brian, the centre ran in the last try and Jessey landed the conversion to make it 44 – 0 at the close.

Colchester U15 20 Harlow U15 15 Colchester are Suffolk under 15 county champions and last year won by a 50 point margin in the equivalent game. Harlow under 15s can take pride in leading the game until the closing minutes and holding them to a single try margin. The surge in interest in rugby follwing the world cup contnues to bring new players to the club and Adam Hoskins and Matt Aiton made their Harlow debut in the game both performing well. Harlow started well with three first half tries from their forwards, Higgins, Mahmood and Mulvey all from good driving play with the whole pack supporting well. Just before half time Colchester pulled back a try to make it 15 – 5 to Harlow at the change round.
In the second half Colchester took advantage of their large squad to bring on fresh players and narrowed it to 15 points all with minutes to go and then snatched victory with a try just before full time. Aled Hills the Harlow No.10 had a strong game and showed his versatility moving to the hooker slot for much of the second half after the Harlow number 2 was forced to come off injured.
