18/09/2011-Club News- Buffet Lunch
There will be a lunch buffet of lasagna and salad before next Saturday's. home games served between 1pm to 1:15pm. All 3 teams are at home and they are all on winning streaks so there will be something for everyone. Why not come and have a pre- match beer, discuss the latest world cup action a bite to eat and then support your team(s). All welcome, 5 pounds per head. Please let Alan Price ([email protected]) know of your intentions so that we can cater accordingly. Book a place to avoid disappointment.
18/09/2011-Rugby News- Rhys Powell
Rhys Powell, who clashed heads with Shaun Roberts in yesterday's win over Wanstead, has seen a specialist this morning. He has blurred vision and some headaches due to two fractures of the eye socket. The specialist is not sure if this is due to swelling or some nerve damage but in any case seemed quite upbeat about the eventual outcome. Rhys will go back to hospital when swelling has subsided. He is able to go to work should he feel up to it. He says he is lucky Shaun was wearing protective headgear, how lucky can one get? Some people will do anything to see the world cup on TV!

We did have a team for our Ladies to play Old Albanians on Sunday but they have cancelled the game and so we win by default. Sadly we are unable to find a friendly to play instead so our Ladies we have the week off.

Gary Stanley is running his Boot Camp's again first one in this term was tonight, sorry I forgot to post it earlier, but they will run for the next 3 weeks. For club members these are available at the reduced cost of just 3 pounds. 7pm start every Monday for an hour....
12/09/2011-Club News- Blank Weekend
We have a few weekends coming up before Christmas where we have no rugby at home on a Saturday and no function that evening. These are weekends we really need to use to boost club funds. If you have any ideas for events we can hold please could you speak to Alan Brooking or Alan Price ([email protected]). The dates we need to fill are: Sat 1st October, Sat 22nd October (it's the World Cup final that morning!), Sat 5th November, Sat 12th November, Sat 26th November. Great day at club yesterday. Good lunch followed by great rugby and then an excellent evening of socialising and music.
